Hemlata Pradhan is a botanical artist who is deeply committed to making botanical art a medium for conservation of Himalayan ecology. She was born on 3rd December 1974, in Kalimpong, West Bengal, India into a family already renowned in the horticultural circles worldwide. After her schooling at St.Josephs Convent and at Dr. Grahams Homes, Kalimpong, she went on to pursue her dreams in the world of Fine Arts, completing B.Fine (Hons) from Kala Bhavan, Viswa Bharati, Shantiniketan, West Bengal in 1998. She then completed a Diploma in Botanical Illustration with distinction from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, England, U.K. through scholarship from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation, Canada.
In the year 2000, she was sponsored by the Association of Commonwealth Universities, London, U.K. to complete her Masters in Natural History Illustration and Ecological Studies from the Royal College of Art,London. She is the first Indian to win the Royal Horticultural Society's Gold Medal and the 18th World Orchid Conference Gold Medal in France for her paintings of India's Wild Orchids. She is a member of the Education Committee of the Orchid Specialist Group (OSG), International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) / Species Survival Commission (SSC). She is the Founder President of a charitable Trust called the Himalayan Trust for Natural History Art (HTNHA). Kalimpong  that ispresently setting up the Himalayan School for Natural History Art in order to further her dream of combining Natural History Art, holistic education, conservation and sustainability at the grassroots. The trust has already been running hands-on programmes and workshops in various creative fields and life skill education since 2011.

These prints are A1 sized, printed on Hahnamuhle German Etching Papers, 310 gsm , archival quality. Each print has only 35 editions each and will be hand-signed and numbered by me. The prints will also come with certificates of authenticity. 

. Each print will be bubble wrapped and sent in PVC tubes. 

**Prints cannot be returned unless it is badly damaged. In this case, clients will have to send clear pictures of the damage . Will then replace the print.
